This bitch. ADELE IS A STAR
So there is this beauty blogger who was completely hating on Adele for not wanting to work-out and what not (first link). I was told to read this rant because of how stupid it was and let me just say, stupid is an understatement. I would like to address a few points on tumblr…because I went over the 3000 charc requirement for her comments on her blog.
“Girls who work hard for their appearance want rewards for it in the form of dating eligible men and they KNOW what they are worth. They won’t give 9gag losers the time of day, so what do the losers do? Sour grapes of course.”
Congrats. You just made a bunch of middle school girls’ self esteem drop lower than it already it is. According to you, the only way to date the man of your dreams is to spend savings on high end beauty products so you can look all dolled up and finally be noticed. No hot guy really digs a girl with intellect or creatvity if they arent a walking barbie right? Now I know there is truth into what you are saying,most guys dont really notice an overweight girl first time around, but i think i could classify them as shallow guys. Many guys that I know date/married a perfect bimbo. A hot bimbo, but nevertheless a bimbo. Do they get sick of her stupid epiphanies and rants? Sure! Pretty sure if they even tried to date a “sour grape” they might be suprised because a relationship has EVERYTHING to do with the personalities. Appearances fade pretty fast. Playboy bunnies figured that out fairly quickly huh? Also, some guys really don’t like girls with a lot of upkeep. Its finacially unstable for them at times. Doesn’t make them a loser. Just makes them more rational when choosing a life partner, “sour grape” or not.
Surprise!! Other people are more hardworking than you! Instead of blaming the system, GET OFF YOUR LAZY ASS AND DO SOMETHING.What is stopping you?
Adele is more hardworking that you will ever be in life. She studied hard in school, went through sleepless nights writing perfect songs and had a very emotional life so far. I know its easy to hate someone that is famous but lets just say being a world renowned singer i a lot more stressfull and time consuming than being a blogger. I dont care what you say in your defense for that, thats a fact. Not to mention that your whole blog is about looking pretty and what-not, so you kind of have time to work on yourself to get the money rolling. Whats stopping Adele is time that she doesnt have out of her interviews and the recording studio.
Ok so you have COMPLETELY misunderstood Adele’s qoute about Katy perry’s and Gaga’s boobs and bum. Did you happen to watch the Grammy Awards? Its ok, I’ll recap for you. Katy Perry and Rihanna, both wore enough clothes to deem ok for public television. Both shook their booties and did a spectacular show. Their singing however? Lip syncing the whole time. You could tell because when Rihanna sang acoustic with coldplay she sounded like a fucking train-wreck. Now here you have Adele. Come’s in a gorgeous black dress and looks absolutley majestic. Takes the mic and kills her whole performance. She sang so well that everyone gave her a long standing ovation. The beauty with her is that she sounds just as well live as she does in a studio which is nearly impossible to master itself. Katy Perry and Gaga are PERFORMERS. I’ll take them up against any aspiring youtube singer. Chances are, they wont stand a chance with the top few. They are good at giving a good show and that is why they are succesfull and marketable. Adele doesnt want to be marketable. For once you have a singer who is singing just for the ears and not the eyes. Its why she is so successful too because she is so good at it. Adele is not a performer, she is a vocalist.
I found it funny that you said that she puts loads of make-up on making herj ust another one of those fan-whoring girls. I’m sorry but isnt that like your entire proffesion? Adele has to wear make-up because its necessary for her job. Looking presentable and looking idolizable are two different things.
I’m not even going to go into the Paltrow qoutes but I think you are taking Adele’s purpose the wrong way. She just wants people to acknowledge her for her singing and nothing else matters to her. And yeah if I was a magazine editor, i’d also want to have one of the most self- confident and hard working women on my cover too to serve as a role model for millions of others.
Oh and one more tip, I would watch a lot more interviews with her before making an assumption on her personality. I think thats how real researchers do it.
